How we've been recognised
Written and directed by Sasha Paul, ‘Someone Else's Husband’ was shown at both the Lighthouse in Poole and Bournemouth's Pier Theatre.
Dialogue for the performances was signed in BSL (British Sign Language) bridging the gap between hearing and deaf members of the audience.
The project was supported by a grant from UnLtd Millenium Awards.
We are delighted to fund a project like Sasha's. Someone Else's Husband and related workshops will help to raise awareness of the reality of life for people who are hearing impaired and will encourage more people to learn how to sign. Sasha is an inspirational individual and UnLtd is thrilled to support her in realising her vision. UnLtd provides Level 1 Awards of up to £5000 for social entrepreneurs who use business skills for social impact, generating profit for purpose. UnLtd's mission is to reach out and unleash the energies of people who can transform the world in which they live. We call these people social entrepreneurs and provide a complete package of funding and support to help start up and run projects that deliver social benefits.
